| The one stitch lift is a minimally invasive
procedure done under local anesthesia with no down time geared
to simulate the effect of a facelift. The idea came to me
one day by seeing an older actress in my office for a consultation.
At first glance, I thought she looked pretty good for her
age, and was not till she took off some scotch tape from her
face (which was carefully hidden by her hair) that I could
really appreciate how much she needed a facelift. She explained
that was an old trick that all actresses used the old days
when they were shooting close-up scenes. If the scotch tape
could work that well, why could't I come up with something
similar but less visible and more permanent.
Here is how it works: through tiny needle holes placed in the
hairline in strategic positions, sutures are threaden and
anchored, pulling the skin up vertically, without cutting.
This is done under local anesthesia, in a few minutes, and
the next day chances are you could be going back to work:
a true lunch time lift. Swelling and bruising are minimal
and so is the recuperation.
This operation is geared to refresh your look, but is not
going to replace the endoscopic, vertical facelift. It is
just another alternative and it can been used in combination
of botox and fillers to give you a younger look.
